How many crowns go in each region?

Rows: exactly one crown in each row.
Columns: exactly one crown in each column.
Colors: exactly one crown in each connected color region.
Separation: no two crowns share an edge or a corner.

Exactly one crown per colored region, and also exactly one per row and column.

Can crowns touch diagonally?

No. Crowns may not touch even on a corner (Chebyshev distance must be greater than 1).
